Carboxyl ester lipase (CEL, also called cholesterol esterase or bile salt-dependent lipase) is
a lipolytic enzyme capable of hydrolyzing cholesteryl esters, triacylglycerols, and
phospholipids in a trihydroxy bile salt-dependent manner but hydrolyzes ceramides and
